一、考查對(duì)建議或看法的理解
在聽(tīng)力測(cè)試中,常有一些表示建議或看法的題目。建議包括說(shuō)話(huà)人建議對(duì)方做什么或建議自己和對(duì)方一起做什么?捶▌t是說(shuō)話(huà)人對(duì)所談?wù)摰娜嘶蚴掳l(fā)表的個(gè)人見(jiàn)解或意見(jiàn)。有的建議或看法是直截了當(dāng)?shù),有的則是委婉暗示的。
①常用的表示建議的句型有:
a. I suggest... 我建議……
b. Why don’t you... 你為什么不……(形式否定,意義肯定)
c. Why not... 為什么不……(形式否定,意義肯定)
d. Why bother... 為什么要……(形式肯定,意義否定)
e. How/What about... ……怎么樣
f. Shall we... 我們……好嗎
g. Let’s ... 咱們……吧
h. You’d better... 你最好……
i. Perhaps/Maybe you should/could... 也許你應(yīng)該(可以)……
j. What if... 如果……會(huì)怎么樣呢
②常用的表示看法的句型有:
I think/believe... 我認(rèn)為……
In my opinion... 我認(rèn)為……
In/From my point of view... 在我看來(lái)……
以上這些句型只是試題中出現(xiàn)的主要形式。在平時(shí)的學(xué)習(xí)中,我們還會(huì)遇到許多其他的表示建議或看法的句型,不妨將這些句型歸納在一起,以便于解題。

【同類(lèi)題思路】在聽(tīng)的過(guò)程中,要集中精力聽(tīng)有關(guān)建議或看法的內(nèi)容的關(guān)鍵信息。只要聽(tīng)到有關(guān)建議或看法的詞語(yǔ),考生就可以根據(jù)所給問(wèn)題進(jìn)行推測(cè)。因此,只要在平時(shí)多積累相關(guān)句型,這類(lèi)題目就不是很難了。
許多聽(tīng)力材料會(huì)涉及數(shù)字,如年代、日期、價(jià)格、數(shù)量等,并且會(huì)以基數(shù)詞、序數(shù)詞、分?jǐn)?shù)、百分比等多種形式出現(xiàn),這就要求考生辨別各種形式的數(shù)字,還要熟悉數(shù)字之間的關(guān)系。
【例題】I never thought that I would like living in a big city. But I was wrong. After ten years of living in one, I can’t imagine ever living in a small town again.(2014年全國(guó)卷I)

【分析】考查考生對(duì)具體信息的理解能力。由"After ten years of living in one,"可知答案選B。
1. 透露說(shuō)話(huà)人身份的關(guān)鍵詞
考生如果通過(guò)關(guān)鍵詞可以很快判斷出對(duì)話(huà)雙方的關(guān)系和身份,便可以集中注意力,在腦海中搜索相關(guān)背景知識(shí),進(jìn)一步加深對(duì)聽(tīng)力材料的理解。
如:I just can’t believe you are a police officer, Kay. I remember in high school, you always wanted to be a lawyer。該對(duì)話(huà)中的關(guān)鍵詞為in high school,據(jù)此推斷這是兩個(gè)老同學(xué)之間的對(duì)話(huà)。
常見(jiàn)的對(duì)話(huà)雙方的關(guān)系有:husband — wife; teacher — student; boss — employee; waiter(waitress) — customer; doctor — patient; parents — kid; classmates(roommates); shop assistant — customer。
【例題】W: Did you hear that Mr. Peterson is coming next week, Gordon?
M: Yes. So I called all of the department heads to my office this morning. We need to give him reports on our program.(2014年全國(guó)卷I)
3. Who might Mr. Peterson be?
A. A new professor.
B. A department head.
C. A company director.
