Goals:
1. To get the students to reflect on the useful words and phrases in this unit
2. To enable the students to have a better knowledge of the uses of the Infinitive
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1. Individual work
1.Ask the students to tell the spirits of disabled people and what they can learn from them.
2.Finish the exercises in the SB Page 5
Suggested answers:
1.(A)這對夫婦花光了所有的錢去找他們六個月前失蹤的五歲兒子.2.(C)大家很容易看出她不高興.
3.(B)牛頓自言自語: “為什么蘋果會落到地上,而不會飄向空中?”。后來,他發(fā)現了萬有引力定律.
4.(A)科學家預言在未來的十年內,環(huán)境污染會更加嚴重.他們告誡人們如果不采取措施解決這個問題,我們將會毀滅我們的星球.

B. Summarize the form of the Infinitive:
不定式的簡單式由to+動詞原形構成,其動作與主要動詞同時發(fā)生或者發(fā)生在主要動詞之后.
不定式的進行式由to be +現在分詞構成,表示在主要動詞的動作發(fā)生時,不定試的動作正在進行中.
不定式的完成式由to have+過去分詞構成,表示不定式的動作發(fā)生在主要動詞的動作之前.
Show the video of the explanation of the uses of the Infinitive to the students. Help the Ss master the Infinitive better.
